like a hero, Jerry rescues Spike from the dog catcher. Delighted, Spike repays him by using saying whenever he needs help, just whistle; then dashes off. Feeling thrilled with himself, Jerry is taking walks alongside but runs into Tom, who fast lures him among slices of bread. Jerry fast whistles and Spike involves the rescue, pounding Tom's head into the mailbox. After giving him a warning, he dashes over again. Tom quickly figures out what's going on, and devises a plan to save you, Jerry, from whistling.
